Enjoy a hot chocolate bar and yummy meal before you get your photo taken with Santa at “Breakfast with Santa and Friends,” a holiday event sponsored by the University of Mississippi Medical Center Alliance.
Set for 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 in the Phil Bryant Medical Education Building, the breakfast is a fundraiser for the Alliance, a volunteer organization that promotes goodwill and fellowship through support of unmet patient needs, the campus chapel and art acquisitions. Members of the Alliance – both employees and from the community – aspire to enhance the patient and student experience at UMMC.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and can be purchased at the door or in advance. Events will be in the lobby of the School of Medicine.
“Breakfast with Santa and Friends is a fun event for children and families that gets everyone into the holiday spirit,” said Shana Cook, the Alliance’s president. “It’s a chance to help Alliance volunteers ensure patients with limited resources receive essential items such as reading glasses or even clothing during their stay, and it makes possible the Alliance’s good work in campus beautification.”
