For Valentines, Justin will be doing a fun, creative and low-key menu centered around the idea of aphrodisiac ingredients executed on a simple platform through small plates. All a la carte and first come, first served.
Arugula Salad – Strawberry Paint, Champagne Vinaigrette, pistachios and goat cheese
Oyster Amarillo – Cornmeal crusted, aji aioli, crisp greens and french bread
Steak Sammy – Red wine marinated, onion marmalade, béarnaise on ciabatta
Crying Shoulder – Smoked shoulder, slaw, pickles, garlic mayo and brioche
Chocolate Bread Puddin’ – Shaved dark chocolate and chantilly cream
Originally from Canton, MS, Justin is a celebrated chef who has cooked in Washington DC, Orlando and until recently, New Orleans, before moving back to our area.
Justin says that his influences are mostly Spanish and French and that he loves taking familiar ingredients to make unique dishes. He is starting up a new culinary business focusing on building community with farmers and consumers.
This is also a “fundraiser” of sorts as Justin recently lost his new home to a fire. He is a great guy with a great story and we are glad to have him.
