Neighborhood non-profit Fondren Renaissance has announced dates for two of their most popular events.
The Fondren Flea, called “the state’s largest flea market and garage sale,” will bring residents, merchants and organizations together for a day of yard, sidewalk and rummage sales on Saturday, April 21.
Residential efforts will begin as early as 7 a.m. while merchants will kick off around 9 a.m. Fondren Renaissance promises promotional efforts to draw shoppers from across the area.
This is also the date of Sal & Mookie’s annual Children’s Carnival. More details on this event are forthcoming.
Also announced this week, the 4th annual Mississippi Craft Beer Festival will be held on the grounds of Duling Hall on Friday, June 15. Tickets go on sale March 15 at fondren.org.
Presented in cooperation with Capital City Beverage Company and Southern Beverage Company, over 100 beers will be presented for sampling by over nearly three dozen breweries.
VIP tickets will give tasters an early bird entry at 5 p.m. plus food from several Fondren restaurants.
General admission ticket holders are in at 6 p.m. for unlimited tastings of all the night’s beers.
A designated driver ticket will be available at the door. All entrants must be 21 or older.
