The lazy days of summer don’t have to be boring – or uninspiring – for your kids.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and Millsaps College will both offer enrichment camps for students from pre-k through 12th grade.

Each summer since 1950, St. Andrew’s has offered a comprehensive, educational and fun day camp to the public in the Metro Jackson area. This year is no different – with over two dozen academic offerings, a dozen or so athletic camps, more than 20 specialty camps and their regular day-long day camps for kids in PK3 – 9th grades.

Day camps are taught by St. Andrew’s teachers and coaches and consist of creative and fun classroom learning blended with lots of guided and free-form physical activity. Each week features regular cooking, gardening and STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) rotations for every camper.

At Millsaps, the college offers a wide range of summer camps featuring engineering, math, manners, song, reading, art and more.

Building Blocks Camps include Pullback Car Frenzy Building Blocks Camp, Construction Building Blocks Camp, Space Wars Building Blocks Camp, and Super Hero Building Blocks Camp. The teacher is Wani McFarland and each camp costs $130 and is for kids in grades K-5.

Mosaics for Teens camps will be taught by artist Teresa Haygood.  Several dates are offered for kids ages 12-18.  The cost will be $120 plus a $40 supply fee and students will be able to take their project home at the end of class.
