Season tickets are now available for Millsaps College’s 2013-2014 Arts & Lecture Series. Discounted tickets are up for grabs and individual performance tickets can be purchased as well.

The series is in its 46th year of providing a variety of historical, political, musical and literary presentations to the greater Jackson area.

The first half of the season looks like this:

• September 3’s ‘The Blues — Music, Stories and Photographs Rambling Steve Gardner, Mississippi’s Blues Ambassador to Japan’

• October 1 with authors Michael Kardos of Starkville speaking about ‘The Three Day Affair’ and Matthew Guinn of Ridgeland discussing ‘The Resurrectionist’;

• November 1’s ‘Past, Present and Future’ panel discussion with leland Speed and Charles Evers, moderated by Malcolm White.

• December 2’s ‘Eat, Drink Delta’ from author Susan Puckett and photographer Langdon Clay.

Fondrenites play a role in the selection of programs as members of the Arts & lecture series board and include Michael Bentley, Betsy Bradley, Patrick Cooper, Robert Fagan, Dr. Stanley Hartness, Alan Lange, Marc Leffler, Walter and Chrissy Lydick, Carey Miller, Jo G Prichard and Wes Williams.
