Strike up the band (or at least a bag piper and a few kids with toy instruments!) Broadmeadow Neighborhood Association will host their annual Independence Day Parade and Potluck on July 4th at 10:30am.
This year’s theme is Walk the Red, White, and Blue Carpet! Children and adults are encouraged to join the parade dressed as their favorite celebrity! Participants are always welcome to wear their brightest red, white and blue gear as well. Participants can march to the beat or cruise in their own bicycle or wagon float. Prizes will be awarded to participants whose costumes or floats show the most parade spirit! Don’t want to march? Bring your chairs and some shade to the grounds of Broadmeadow Methodist Church for a prime viewing spot. You can’t have a parade without spectators!
After the parade, stick around for a potluck picnic lunch. Bring your favorite covered dish to share and enjoy food and conversation with neighbors. Hotdogs, lemonade, and ice cream will be provided for all. Games and crafts organized by the BNA Kids Committee will be set-up for post-parade fun.
