Batson Children’s Hospital invites you to attend their tree lighting ceremony Tuesday, December 4, in Fondren. The ceremony is set for 6pm. in the Batson Children’s Hospital lobby.  Join patients, their families and several special guests as Batson flips the giant candy cane switch and lights the two giant Christmas Trees out front of Batson Children’s Hospital.  Ballet Mississippi will perform excerpts from The Nutcracker with other special guests.

Each year, area supporters “Light-A-Light” on the Batson Hospital Christmas Tree in honor or memory of someone and the honoree or their family receive a special card.  For a lasting gift, you can choose to give an Eternal Light on the Batson Hospital Christmas Tree.  The first year, the honoree or their family receive an acknowledgment card along with a specially created stained glass angel ornament created by Mississippi artist, Jerry Hymel.  Each year following, the Eternal Light is remembered during the tree-lighting ceremony and the honoree or their family receive an additional card.  A minimum donation of $10 is requested for each Light and $250 for each Eternal Light.

Contact Melanie Schade at MSchade@umc.edu or 601-984-5273 with any additional questions about the BankPlus Light-A-Light Project or any problems purchasing your lights online.
