After the success of the trial “run”, fondRUN™ returns November 1 to Fondren After 5. Presented by liveRIGHTnow and Find It In Fondren™, fondRUN™ is a 2 mile run or walk open to all levels. The monthly event is sponsored in part by Fondren Renaissance Foundation. Last month’s run attracted over 70 participants.

Participants meet at 6pm, run 2 miles and return to enjoy drinks and dining. The first round of beers will be “on the house” courtesy of Southern Beverage. November’s location is Sneaky Beans Coffee Shop. A live radio remote is planned from Bday 99.1, a Greater Jackson area radio station playing old school hip-hop. Several restaurants are nearby for a post run meal.

Conceived by healthy living strategist and trainer Terry Sullivan, the run is a 2 mile, easy paced opportunity to connect with fellow runners and see more of Fondren. “We’ve purposefully picked a route to show off different parts of the neighborhood,” Sullivan says. “We hope people will stick around, enjoy a drink, food and conversation, and hopefully, visit our shops and boutiques.”

fondRUN™ is free and is presented in conjunction with Fondren After 5, a late evening monthly opportunity to stroll, shop and dine. All runners must sign a waiver to participate. While the run is open to all ages, no one under 21 will be served alcohol. Free parking is available behind Fondren Corner and also behind Duling School.
