Habitat for Humanity/Metro Jackson has a new group – Habitat Young Professionals. This Thursday evening, come to the Cedars for a picnic with music by the Red Hots beginning at 6pm. Bring your own basket and cooler. Or pick up dinner from Sal & Mookie’s, BRAVO! or Broad Street and mention this event and HYP will receive 25% of your tab. While there is a lot going on that night in the area, this event is free. A television will be given away via text message.

HABITAT YOUNG PROFESSIONALS OF JACKSON (HYP) is a group of individuals seeking to combat poverty by helping build affordable housing for low income families, while providing networking opportunities for future leaders. Members come from a variety of backgrounds, sharing their time, talent and resources to advance the Habitat mission, empowering families in need through a decent, affordable home at no interest.

Get involved, serving and improving the Jackson community through hands-on work with Habitat for Humanity/Metro Jackson, social events and volunteer opportunities. Help eliminate poverty “one home at a time.” For more information about HYP, contact Sheila Wells at Habitat for Humanity/Metro Jackson at 601.353.6060 or email swells@habitatjackson.org.
