Four museums will offer free admission for teachers, Thursday, September 13 for an event dubbed Educators’ Night. The museum campus east of Interstate 55 includes Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, the Mississippi Children’s Museum, the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum and the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum. The four will stay open late to provide educators with the resources they need for the new school year.
Educators will receive free resource materials, meet contacts from other agencies and organizations, play and learn in exhibits and galleries, find out more about programs, field trips, and teacher workshops, shop in each museum’s gift store, ask staff questions, enjoy free refreshments and register to win door prizes.
No advance registration is required. The event is for adults only and is open to all educators: classroom and home school teachers, administrators, day-care providers, librarians, or youth group leaders.
