Rainbow Co-op announced in May that it will be updating its image, and it has spent the spring gathering input from the community. On Monday, July 16, it will take an important step in the process, by sharing its new logo with the public.

Rainbow Co-op includes Rainbow Natural Grocery and High Noon Cafe, with Fair Trade Green Services and the Computer Co-op sharing space in Rainbow Plaza. While Rainbow has kept up with changes in the market in terms of its products and quality standards, it’s been more than 30 years since it has considered how to communicate its identity. Steve Whitlow, General Manager of Rainbow Co-op, says that it’s time to catch up Rainbow’s look to its success as a community-owned cooperative.

“We read a great deal of survey feedback from our customers, staff, and board about their ideas for Rainbow’s new look,” said Luke Lundemo, Rainbow’s CEO. “What we heard was ‘clean, fresh, and modern’ while also maintaining our connection with our history and our personality.”

Later in the summer, Rainbow Co-op will unveil a brand-new exterior and will refresh the inside of the grocery. What will remain the same is Rainbow’s commitment to pure food, in accordance with its rigorous purchasing policy, and its investment in the local community.
