URBAN ARTISAN LIVING for The Ancient Art of Bonsai: The Art, History, Philosophy, Science, of Miniature Trees. Described as an exciting and intriguing look into the fascinating world of miniature trees, an exhibit of bonsai will be on display throughout the day. On Saturday April 21 from 10am – 2pm, circa. will host a FREE lecture and demo. A hands on workshop will be held the following Saturday, April 28, at a a cost of $85 per person. The schedule of events is as follows:

Saturday April 21, 2012

10 am- Bonsai: The Art, History, Science and Philosophy – Powerpoint lecture presented by Dr. Craig Escude
11 am- Demonstration: “How to Turn a Nursery Plant into a Bonsai in an Hour or Less” Watch as a young nursery shrub is “aged” right before your eyes! 
1 pm- Bring your own Bonsai Tree – Consultation Forum (Attendees are encouraged to bring their own trees for design and care advice. First come, first served basis)

Saturday April 28, 2012

10 am-2pm Hands on Workshop lead by Dr. Craig Escude. Each participant will leave with their very own bonsai created that day. The fee includes plant material, pot, wire, soil and use of tools. Space is limited.
