Mark you calendars to join Fondren Renaissance Foundation for World Book Night on Monday, April 23 at Fondren Park.  Join FRF and Lemuria as they partner together to make a difference in literacy.  An annual celebration in the United States and the United Kingdom, World Book Night is designed to spread a love of reading and books by giving out free paperback books in area neighborhoods.  This event is co-sponsored by OurFondren Neighborhood Association and Broadmeadow United Methodist Church.

Books will be given out (while supplies last) and a grilled hot dog supper provided.  Fondren’s own Scott Albert Johnson will provide entertainment on the pavilion stage.  Invite your friends and neighbors and join Fondren for World Book Night in Fondren Park.  The evening starts at 5:30 and goes until dark.  A special thanks to these Fondren community partners for making this event free and open to the public.
