Billy Crystal will host the 84th annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night and closer to home, fans of ‘The Help’ will be rooting for the film at Brent’s. The historic Fondren diner was the setting of scenes in the film and on Sunday will be the setting for celebration beginning at 6:30pm. Brent’s owner Brad Reeves says they will broadcast the Oscars on the big screen and offer menu selections for sale. The film’s youngest stars, Emma and Ella Henry, will be on hand for the evening as well. The twins collectively played Mae Mobley. Reeves adds there will be classic cars used in the movie on display and cast extras are being invited. In addition, you can play the Oscar pool and Oscar bingo for a chance at door prizes. Local ABC affiliate WAPT will broadcast live from the party.
