You may have heard of Scotta Brady. She is a certified anusara yoga instructor and owner of Butterfly Yoga studio in Fondren.  You may even recognize her; after all, she has graced the cover of several local magazines already this year.  However, one thing you probably don’t know about Scotta is that she is a runner.

On July 30, Scotta ran her first race, the St. Joe’s Bruin Burn 5k.   When she first began training, her goal was to complete the 3.1 mile race in less than 35 minutes.  But once that became easy, she readjusted her goal time to under 30 minutes.  Needless to say, she both shocked and impressed herself (and me) when she crossed the finish line!
