They may not have a grand opening scheduled until Monday, but a new restaurant wants you to know they are open for business now. Like most new eateries, Fatsumo has held a “soft opening” all week, taking time to train their employees and put last minute details in place. Operating partner Chef Scott Meinka said yesterday that they now have a fully stocked bar (“we have had some gin drinkers come by and we’re ready for them.”) Meinka also added the sidewalk full of chairs was just another sign of putting all the pieces into place. “We got our chairs in,” the Chef told us, “and some folks may have thought we were closed yesterday.” Not so.

Meinka and his staff, including managing partner Edward Cooper, invite you to come in all this weekend for lunch, dinner and drinks (11:00am-10:00pm Friday and Saturday, 11:00am-2:30pm and 5:00pm to 10:00pm Sunday) and experience “the skinny on American sushi.”
