COPS (Community Oriented Policing Services) will meet tonight in Fondren in their regularly monthly meeting. The group meets at Redeemer Presbyterian Church at 5:30pm. Representatives from the Jackson Police and Fire Department will be on hand along with City officials to discuss recent projects and upcoming plans. The meetings are generally around an hour but attendees have the opportunity to stay after for questions.
At last month’s meeting, Commander Wendall Watts (shown here) announced a 15% reduction in crime and that Precinct 4 is in single digits in total crime. He also asked that you “give me a chance to get positive things accomplished.”
