Firkin Friday at Saltine

So what is a firkin, you ask? It’s a small barrel of beer that is 1/4 the size of a regular barrel of beer. The 40.91 liters of beer in this small cask are not carbonated by CO2, but rather naturally by its resident yeast. This results in naturally fermented and carbonated beer in a small batch. In addition to being an extremely small batch and hard to find, these beers are usually brewed with unique ingredients and flavors in mind. They are always worth checking out!

Each month, Saltine will feature a different brew in their beer engine (the old school device they use for pumping said small batch beer).
