BIKES! It’s the battle cry of riders and supporters of Jackson Bike Advocates and the cry you will hear this Friday night. That’s when the group strikes out on their monthly community ride, emanating from the Rainbow Co-Op parking lot. Riders gather around 6pm and leave out about 15 minutes later. The bike ride/pub crawl is meant to be all inclusive: all ages, all skill levels, all bike types are welcomed.
The ride is always different. This month’s winds through the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus to Belhaven to Belhaven Heights. Then riders will make their way to the state Capitol building for a Jackson Bike Advocates photo op. Cyclists then cruise to the Hilton Garden Inn/King Edward bar for drinks. The trek will finish up at Sal and Mookies for some pizza and drinks.
The ride is free and everyone is welcome. All participants will sign a waiver of liability. Helmets and lights are strongly encouraged.
