Find It In Fondren™ has a fresh new presence online thanks to a makeover months in the making.  The overhaul was completed yesterday by Knol Aust, a Fondren based web developer who has created or enhanced the web homes of Whole Foods Nashville, Crossroads Film Festival, and most notably, the site of Bravo Network’s Tabatha Coffee of ‘Tabatha’s Salon Takeover’ fame.

As you view the new site, you will notice a completely new way of presenting content that makes the experience more user friendly and highlights the things that are most important right now in Fondren. Begin at the top with a larger graphic slider with navigation (no more waiting for that picture to roll around again!) Immediately underneath are links to our Twitter and Facebook and an opportunity for you to join our mailing list.  Below that, a featured content area will showcase five items that we feel are most relevant to right now. Currently, this piece along with news about the upcoming Flaming Lips show, the former Mimi’s space, The Capri and FRF’s Summer Music Series are highlighted.

Our slogan has always been “the people, places & events of Jackson’s hippest neighborhood™.” And so our content will fall into one of those categories. You’ll see event related articles below the features and to the right, an up to date events calendar of live music, book signings, classes, FRF events and the like. Below that, look for a row of ads and say thank you to these supporters who promote their services on our site – and in part make possible what we do everyday. Underneath, you’ll find people and places stories with the opportunity under each category to see all stories in each category. And, for the first time, you will be able to comment on stories you read. Start a conversation!

The sidebar and bottom contain important links. Our shopping directory, area map, history, dining guide and more can be found at the bottom while the sidebar gives easy access to contact us, learn more about us, or see the latest posts in each category. And let’s not forget the current magazine! Find links to that in both the sidebar and bottom (click the cover to see a flipbook.)

We hope you will enjoy finding your way around the new and that you appreciate the wealth of info about our neighborhood. To comment on the new site, contact us or find us on Facebook and Twitter.
