BIKES! The Jackson Bike Advocates will host an “epic bike weekend” beginning today through Saturday. Events will include tonight’s 7pm bike ride from Rainbow Co-Op to the Mississippi Museum of Art’s Art Garden to view the movie of the month, “Ferris Beuler’s Day Off.” The 3rd annual JBA “Alley-Cat” is set for tomorrow night at 6pm with a friendly race & scavenger hunt around some of Jackson’s favorite hot spots. An after-party follows at Sneaky Beans coffee shop featuring the Overnight Lows and Bloodbird. Saturday, May 26, bike polo enthusiasts from Mobile, Memphis, Little Rock and New Orleans will join the Jackson Bike Advocates for an epic bike polo match in the parking lot of Broadmeadow United Methodist Church from 10am to 5pm. As a bonus Saturday evening, Frank and the Meltones will be playing at Morningbell Records. On Sunday, JBA will wrap up the weekend with a friendly bike ride to Julep Restaurant for brunch, emanating again from Rainbow CoOp at 11am. The brunch ride will end at Babalu Tacos and Tapas.

These events are free, everyone is welcome and all bicyclists are encouraged to wear helmets. There will be six events over four days. The entire weekend is sponsorsed by JBA, Bike/Walk MS, Swell-O-Phonic, Revolution Mobile Bike Service, and SkateMS.  There will be awards and door prizes presented throughout the weekend.
