The 2nd ever Jackson Restaurant Week will be held April 15-21 with a $10,000 charity prize up for grabs. Last year’s winner, Fondren’s Friends of Children’s Hospital, could pick up the prize again – but only if you eat – and vote.  Additional causes in the running for the prize are Community Animal Rescue and Adoption (CARA), Jackson Free Clinic, Magnolia Speech School and The Mustard Seed. Fondren restaurants who will participate are Babalu Tacos & Tapas, Brent’s, Broad Street Baking Company, Fatsumo Sushi, Nick’s and Sal and Mookie’s.

Jackson Restaurant Week was inspired by similar events held in larger cities across the country in recent years as a means to promote area restaurants and support local charities and businesses. Restaurant Week is presented by Eat Jackson and Associated Food Equipment and Supplies in partnership with many local media outlets and other businesses.
