Taste of the U was held last night at Jackson Medical Mall, just a few miles from Fondren to benefit a Fondren staple, University of Mississippi Medical Center. Over 1,000 attended this themed sampling of delicious foods prepared by various UMC departments. Funds raised will benefit the Mississippi Children’s Justice Center. The center coordinates professional investigative, assessment and intervention services for abused and neglected children and their families. It employs one of only a handful of board-certified forensic medicine specialists in the nation and is the only such center in Mississippi.

Shown here are Dr. David Powe and Brenda and Jeff and Debbie Good. Dr. Powe is the CAO of UMC and Jeff Good is co-owner of Mangia Bene, Inc. For photos from the event, visit our Facebook page.
