Fondren will soon welcome a bike repair service a couple of days a month. Jeremy Polk and Paula Pellegrin’s Revolution Mobile Bicycle Service will set up shop in front of Swell at Fondren Corner beginning this month. Polk says their mobile truck, fully equipped to handle the most complex of repairs, will be in the neighborhood at least one Saturday a month and every Fondren After 5. “We’re excited about it”, Polk tells us, “and have decided to begin January 28 from 10am-4pm”. The pair says having their truck in Fondren is all about brand recognition. “We eventually want to have a brick and mortar location in the neighborhood”, Pellegrin says. “For now, it’s about exposure”. And of course, quality bike repair. Pellegrin went on to tell us she believes people in the neighborhood will simply ride over when the truck is in town. “We want a shop here, and we’re moving in that direction”. If business is good, you may see the truck here two Saturdays a month. Check Revolution’s Facebook and Revolution’s website, StartARevolution.net to learn more about services and products offered and the days you can find them in Fondren.

As you may have seen last week, we told you about Swell’s plans to sell ready-made Chane designed bikes from Republic beginning in February. Revolution will be the go-to repair source. Chane said he plans to offer discounted repairs through Polk and Pellegrin.
