Gifts of the Seasons, the fourth installment of the award-winning Four Seasons of The Cedars Performing and Visual Art Series, has announced its opening reception Dec. 1, from 5pm – 8pm. The show will feature selected artists from previously held shows at The Cedars. Selected and featured artists are Sarah Jane Alston, Camp Best, Bewey Bowden, Scott Cook, Janie Davis, Cleta Ellington, Kit Fields, Ginny Futvoye, Jackson Garner, Pryor Graeber, Kay Holloway, Ellen Langford, Elizabeth Robinson, Streeter Spencer and Bebe Wolfe. These artists will be showing recent works and all will be available for purchase. Additionally, during the opening reception, there will be a fresh water pearl showing by Tana Graham of TPearls. The opening reception is from 5-8pm and many of the artists will be on hand to discuss their work. The show will hang through December 22. Daily gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10am-4pm. Please note that due to the timing of this show and holiday gift giving, purchased works may not be on display throughout the entire run of the show. The Cedars is located at 4145 Old Canton Road.
“Gifts from The Seasons” is presented by Blackledge Center in cooperation with Fondren Renaissance Foundation. Specialty food sponsor for the evening is Cabot Creamery. Parking for the opening reception is available at St. Andrew’s Lower School and security crossing is available. This event is free and open to the public.
