Beginning today, Mimi’s Family and Friends in Fondren is offering something new. The cafe introduces a ‘meat and two, Tuesday through Friday. Today’s plate will be baked chicken breast with 2 sides. Wednesday will be a version of meatloaf wrapped in bacon with a sweet and sour topping developed when owner Jim Burwell was at the Fresh Market Cafe on Spillway Road. Thursday will be Chicken Natalie and Friday will be Hamburger Steak. Mimi’s will change these based on demand and popularity. Of course, you’ll still have Mimi’s usual specials each day and breakfast specials for weekend brunch.
