Fondren’s Symphony at Sunset brought the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra to the Cedars last night for a packed lawn who enjoyed patriotic tunes. Sherry Greener, the evening’s honoree, was lauded for her efforts to promote and preserve our historic neighborhood. And patrons enjoyed a pleasant evening spread across the lawn on picnic blankets, in chairs, and leaning against the tall tress for which the property is named. Patriotic symbolism abounded, including red, white and blue streamers, table decorations and giant flags. The event was sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield and made possible by the Fondren Renaissance Foundation.
