Miserable temperatures are again forecast for Saturday and that has some outdoor plans being scrapped in Fondren. One such change is for The MARKET in Fondren, and open-air vendor’s market that began last year. According to the Fondren Renaissance Foundation’s Jim Wilkirson, a decision has been made to cancel the event. “Plans are being made now for an early fall market,” he said on Tuesday of the postponement.

You may remember last month The MARKET christened a new home at the corner of Old Canton Road and Duling Avenue. Originally began last spring, The MARKET touts crafters, fresh produce, and other homemade items.
