Fondren Renaissance Foundation has announced the white elephant sale originally scheduled for this Saturday at Fondren Hall has been postponed until October 1 due to the “heat and humidity.”

It’s time for The White Elephant Sale to return to Fondren! The Fondren Renaissance Foundation will host The White Elephant Sale on Saturday, July 30, at Fondren Hall, 4330 North State Street.  This newly renovated venue by the Jamileh brothers is located in “The Top of Fondren” at the former Primos Northgate location.  Individuals and merchants will have a fantastic air conditioned venue to showcase their wares and offer great buys on Fondren’s hottest treasures.

Booth spaces are 10×10 and available on a first come, first serve basis for $50.00 per booth.  A limited number of booths are available and may be purchased in multiples if needed.  So clean out those storage rooms and closets, make a pathway through the clutter and get ready for the holidays early.  Don’t want to have your own booth?  Donate your items and unsold treasures to the Fondren Renaissance Foundation and receive a full tax deduction form for all items donated. For more information or booth reservations, contact FRF at

Hurry before all the spaces are gone (half of the spaces are spoken for).  Several interior designers within Fondren have rented space for their floor samples and overstock. A number of groups as well as individuals round out the list.  The best thing is setup day is on Friday and anything that is left after the sale can be taken away by Good Samaritan if you are not willing to pack items up and move them back to where they came.  Multiple spaces are possible.
